You might have heard some mums talking about their labour, describing things like back pain, or stop/start contractions for days before labour started. You may have been told stories about labours that stalled at a certain number of centimetres, requiring a caesarean birth. Or of a baby that didn’t engage in the pelvis.
Other mothers might have talked about their labour and described it as smooth and efficient.
Have you ever wondered what the difference is?
Which labour would you prefer?
Do you think it is luck? or chance? that some women have easier labours and others have difficult labours? The truth is, it’s a bit of both. The Optimal Birth Positioning course will improve your chance of smooth and efficient labour, it will help you make your own luck!
The female body is designed to birth babies with relative ease and efficiency. Otherwise, the human race would have ceased to exist long before we arrived.
In this “Optimal Birth Positioning for mum and bub” course, you will learn the mechanisms and maneuvers a baby goes through to be born. You will gain an insight into how the female pelvis facilities or hinders this natural process. You will discover that there are certain positions of the baby that makes it easier to birth, while others are harder, maybe even impossible. There will be an introduction to the terminology health professionals use to describe these positions and learn how you can figure out for yourself, where your baby is. If your baby is in one of the less than optimal positions, you have the option of making changes that can increase your chance of an efficient vaginal birth. We will have some hands-on practice of these exercises which help move babies into the most convenient position for birth.
This is a “must-do” course for anyone who has had challenges in previous labours. It will help you understand how to make things different this next time. Why not do a “Combo” and combine this course with your VBAC or Birthing Master-Class.
This awesome course is waiting for Covid restrictions to reduce even further so we can get up close and personal and practice these techniques. Contact Debra to reserve you place in the course when it re-opens.
